Pasir Ris is a residential town and urban planning area located in the Eastern district of Singapore. Paris Ris is surrounded by Pay Lebar and Tampines towards the southern region, Sengkang towards the southwestern region, and Changi planning area towards the western side. The Pasir Ris planning area further shares the riverine borderline with Punggol planning zone towards the west side, divided by River Serangoon. The Pasir Ris also has a maritime boundary across the Straits of Johor and extending towards the North-Eastern Islands planning area.
The Paris Ris planning area has an Industrial Estate that comprises three subzones namely Flora Drive estate, Loyang East estate, and Loyang West estate. By 2015, all the hilly terrain had been flattened and cleared to pave the way for both urban and rural residential development.

This plan made it easy for construction of both road and rail facilities in the new Pasir Ris town. On the ground, the town is easily reachable both by bus and MRT stations. The Pasir Ris Mass Rapid Transit Station and the Pasir Ris Bus Interchange have eased commuting around the town as well as to other areas.
With Pasir Ris town, having close proximity to the sea, it has numerous recreation facilities to visit and enjoy leisure time. Prestigious regions such as the NTUC Downtown East, have social amenities like theme parks, chalets, Paris Ris Park, and the bowling alley. The Pasir Ris Town Park located near the white sand shopping center is another facility that comes with lots of goodies to be enjoyed by both residents and visitors. The park has a playground, a park connector, a fishing pond, eatery and the sports and recreation center with features like sports hall, a swimming pool, a gym and a street soccer court.
Pasir Ris also ranks highly in the industrial sector in Singapore. The town contains two major wafer fabrication parks, and there are plans to build a third facility which will increase the town’s rank in the industrial sector.
