Kembangan is a residential area and a current subzone situated in Bedok town in the eastern region of Singapore. The Malay tradition initially influenced much of the Kembangan culture and heritage. Kembangan has a well-connected transport system comprising of both road and railway. A Mass Rapid Transit Station well serves Kembangan with two active lines at the main Kembangan MRT Station. In addition to the MRT station, there are road services with numerous bus companies plying the whole Kembangan region as well as the neighboring Opera Estate.
Kembangan estate isn’t well developed when it comes to matters education. There is only one public school in the whole region with multiples of private schools. The public school located in the MINDS Towner Gardens was established in 1985 to offer specialized education to Kembangan residents. The rise in the need for education has forced the development of a few kindergartens schools like the Muhammadiyah and the PCF Kindergarten meant to provide formal education to children under eight years.
